The barn is a mid 1900’s Gothic-arch style, or sometimes referred to as a round top design. This allows a completely open area on the upper level.
Both upper and lower levels have been restored, with the upstairs featuring two restrooms, a bar and two walkout decks. Both levels have large doors that open on both ends, to provide an open air feel and a way to cool the space on those hot summer days. The lower level includes a restroom, walkout deck, and a kitchen if you’d like to have a rehearsal supper or prepare your own meals.
Between both levels, we can accommodate up to 300 total guests, with comfortably 150, and 200 maximum, on the top level, and up to 100 on the lower level. We supply chairs and tables for up to 250 indoor guests, plus seating and tables for 50 on the outdoor patios.
There is a chair lift on the stairs to help disabled or the elderly to access the upper level, as well as a wheel chair if needed. Feel free to use our sound systems on each level if you’d like, and bring a flash drive with pictures to display on the flat screen TV. If it is cooler out, there are heating systems on both levels to knock off the chill.
Our kitchen has a sink, refrigerator, oven, and microwave, and several cupboards for storage. The four different restrooms at Windmill Hill are all indoors, with full length mirrors and running water.
